The new Müthing side mulcher sets new standards with the combination of first-class mulching results, high working comfort and a robust design. In addition to professional use in ditches and on embankments, thanks to the plateau mode with headland function the area of application is also extended to comfortable use on the flat.
Müthing expands its product portfolio with a new professional side mulcher that is designed for driving powers between 160 and 200 HP. The implement will be available with working widths of 2.20 m, 2.50 m and 2.80 m and has an integrated selectable headland function for use on the flat. At the touch of a button it is possible to switch between the application areas ditch and embankment maintenance as well as classic use on the flat. In order to maximise the working efficiency and minimise the turning points at the headland, the housing can be quickly and easily raised and lowered in plateau mode with just one control unit without having to actuate further control units or the hoisting unit. Working widths of up to 5.50 m can now be realised thanks to the combination of the new side mulcher with a mulcher in the front attachment.
Perfect for ditch and embankment maintenance: The integrated plateau function makes it possible to work alongside the tractor at different height levels (with a maximum height difference of 1.10 m). The hydraulic parallelogram-type side shift of the flail mower allows an enormous adjustment range of over one metre with the three available working widths. Another new feature is the automatic hydraulic collision protection device, which works in forward and reverse mode and also gives the user high operating safety in challenging working conditions.
The implement has the known, patented swivelling support roller as standard, which enables the user to choose between spreading the mulch in front or behind the support roller. The robust Starinth® rear roller bearing system ensures a long service life of the bearings. In addition, the Müthing cutting bar is also installed as standard for the infinitely variable adjustment of the cutting clearance. This allows the user to individually adjust the degree of defibering of the mulch based on their requirements.
The Müthing MU-M/S PLUS is available from spring 2024 in working widths of 2.20 m, 2.50 m and 2.80 m.
