The MU-PRO/F Vario has been designed to meet the latest requirements of the national and international market. With a working width of 8.60 metres and numerous technical enhancements, the model allows contractors and large farm operations all over the world to work economically and precisely, even under the toughest conditions.
Thanks to the sophisticated offset design of the MU-PRO/F Vario, the machine is designed for driving powers of up to 400 hp. An optional “Trail” version is available for drawn rear attachment, which is approved for up to 500 hp and can therefore also be used on large tractors without a front PTO shaft. The two housings can be lifted at the headland in a user-friendly manner using just one control unit, although the housings can also be lifted individually if needed. Thanks to the parallelogram-type suspension of the flail mower housing, the machine complies with the dimensions set out in the German vehicle licensing regulations with a transport width of 2.85 m and an overall height of well under 4 m in the transport position. This ensures safe road transport and makes it possible to change between fields quickly and easily. Optimal weight distribution is also achieved in combination with an MU-PRO Vario front flail mower. The well-balanced axle load distribution combines driving stability with minimal impact on the soil.
The MU-PRO/F Vario impresses with its functional advantages in modern arable farming. Thanks to the MU-Vario® system fitted as standard, the degree of shredding and the seedbed effect can be individually adapted to the respective crops, such as rapeseed, cereal stubble, maize, catch crops or grassland, via the cutting bar. The adjustment options of the Vario cutting bar also allow fuel consumption to be regulated, which has a positive effect on economic efficiency. In addition, the mulch can be deposited either in front of or behind the roller using the swivel support roller, which is also fitted as standard. The most important innovations in the current generation include enhanced core elements such as the support arm design and easier maintenance thanks to the use of maintenance-free components such as the outer bearing units in the drivetrain.
The MU-PRO/F Vario has become the market leader in Germany and is attracting more and more attention in international markets such as Australia, Hungary, England and the Czech Republic. The 300th unit sold will be handed over as part of a ceremony at Agritechnica.
