M\u00fcthing as a driver of innovation for a biological circular economy and soil fertility.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

With the presentation of an innovation island on its stand at Agritechnica, M\u00fcthing is demonstrating its focus on improving soil quality and soil fertility, a biological circular economy, water management, the ecological restoration of degraded areas and composting. The innovation island will showcase current research topics and possible solutions for strengthening the sustainability and resilience of soils and ecosystems, while making a lasting positive contribution to the environment. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n

For 25 years, M\u00fcthing has been intensively involved in the development of mulching and landcare technology for agriculture and green space maintenance as well as sectors such as fruit growing and wine growing. A key area of focus for M\u00fcthing is to actively promote natural biological cycles that return organic matter to the soil and nutrient cycle. These technologies and methods make a significant contribution to the regeneration and preservation of healthy, resilient soils. They ensure greater water absorption and water storage capacity, which in turn significantly mitigates erosion problems and supports and strengthens the soil biome as a whole. <\/p>\n\n

The process of achieving this involves intensively shredding and processing organic matter \u2013 crop residues, catch crops, green waste, fallow land vegetation, verge grass, etc. \u2013 without interfering with the soil surface. This organic matter then undergoes a rapid surface composting process with the help of living organisms from the soil biome \u2013 soil bacteria, earthworms and countless other microorganisms. The natural compost resulting from this process serves as nutrition for an even wider variety of microorganisms, soil fungi and soil worms, leading to an active process of humus formation, which enriches the soil biome and returns the nutrients it contains back to plants via the active soil biology. <\/p>\n\n

M\u00fcthing has continuously developed this technology in recent years, both in terms of process engineering and its technical implementation. It is now possible to integrate the application and mixing of natural soil and plant additives, biostimulants, seeds for catch crops, flowering mixtures etc. into the processed organic matter as part of the mulching process. This makes it a cost-effective process that takes place in a single operation. <\/p>\n\n

At Agritechnica 2025, M\u00fcthing will be exhibiting a concept study on this topic that goes one step further than previous techniques for the combined application of biostimulants or catch crop seeds during the mulching process.<\/p>\n\n

This integrated process results in significantly enhanced support for preserving and further developing healthy and active soils with more sustainable results. Some of the positive effects of this include higher rain absorption and water storage capacities and thus an improvement in the water balance, the avoidance of soil erosion and a reduction of the risk of flooding.All of this contributes significantly and sustainably to healthy, active soil life, fertile and resilient soils, a better water balance, a reduction in water and wind erosion, a strong soil biome, humus buildup and improved biodiversity. <\/p>\n\n

The M\u00fcthing trade fair team at Agritechnica 2025 is looking forward to assisting and advising the visitors and providing further information at Stand B35 in Hall 11.<\/p>\n\n
